Conversation Tables

Conversation Tables

Looking for a fun, low-pressure way to build your speaking skills? Conversation Tables are a relaxed space to practice your target language with others.

We offer designated weekly Conversation Table times, but you’re also welcome to practice informally anytime during our regular posted hours.

Open to students, faculty, staff, and community members - no enrollment in a language course required. You’re welcome to actively participate or simply listen to build confidence. Some familiarity with the language is recommended to get the most out of the experience, but it is not required.

Beyond scheduled tables, you can also practice one-on-one with tutors or connect with peers. The Languages Center is a great place to meet others, form study groups, and build community around language learning.

Come join us, expand your skills, and build confidence - we look forward to seeing you in the Languages Center!

Pop-Up Conversation Tables

We often receive requests from campus and community members for languages not currently offered through our regular services. We’re always open to collaborating to create new opportunities for practice and connection. Reach out at langsctr@uccs.edu if you’re interested in hosting a Pop-Up Conversation Table.
