UCCS Excel Languages Center

Welcome to the UCCS Excel Languages Center (LC)! We are located in Dwire Hall, room 270. Our center provides a supportive environment dedicated to academic achievement, language skills development, cultural exchange, and community building.

Whether you're a new language student, actively learning a language, or teaching a language course on campus, the LC is here to provide access to valuable language learning resources. Explore our website to learn more!

Monday to Thursday - 9:00 AM-5:00 PM

Friday - 9:00 AM-2:00 PM

The hours listed above reflect the center’s open hours. During this time, students are welcome to drop in to study, grab coffee and snacks, meet with a study group, use the center’s computers, and more. Specific hours for language tutoring can be found on the Tutoring tab on our website.

We also frequently host language and culture-centered events beyond our regular hours in collaboration with language clubs, faculty, and other campus organizations. We welcome partnerships with campus and community members who share our mission of promoting language learning and cultural exchange.

The Excel Languages Center (LC) continuously seeks language tutors to support world language students at UCCS in the following languages: ASL, Chinese, French, German, Japanese, Korean, and Spanish.

Tutoring Services

The Excel Languages Center (LC) offers language tutoring for most of the languages taught by the UCCS Languages and Cultures Department. The LC currently provides support in the following languages: ASL, French, German, Japanese, Korean, and Spanish.

More Language Learning Resources

While we offer tutoring for many languages, we understand that your target language may not be included. If we don’t currently provide tutoring in your desired language, we are happy to help connect you with additional resources to support your learning journey.
